What brought you into the water dispenser business?
By profession, I am an engineer and started my career working for large companies. After a period I decided that I wanted a change of profession and then spent the next many years in the retail industry where I was a shareholder in the company I worked with. In retail, I discovered the satisfaction derived from providing excellent customer service and endeavoured at all times to provide it. From there I moved into Call a Cooler which although is a cooler rental business, I have the opportunity to provide excellent service levels to our customers on an ongoing basis.
How long have you been servicing Melbourne?
Just over 2 years, as of 2017.
What do you enjoy about the business?
My chief enjoyment comes from relating to and providing an excellent service level to my customers. Because the majority of my customers are long-term ones it does afford me the opportunity to develop strong relationships with them.
What’s the typical customer experience once they ring you up or fill in a contact form on the website?
We qualify the customer’s needs as to whether a cook and cold or hot and cold unit would best suit their needs and whether they would like the cooler plumbed in. We also discuss with them our payment options and rental terms to tailor a deal that best suits them.
What sets you apart from the competition?
Our main aim is to provide our customers with the highest level of service on an ongoing and timely manner. We know customers like quick responses to any of their queries and an even quicker action in the unlikely event a service issue occurs. We believe this sets us apart from our competitors.
