Drinking clean water is good for your health
50-80 percent of our lean body mass is made from water, it helps our bodies maintain a healthy body temperature (for example our body sweats to cool us down when we are hot). It’s very important for our wellbeing, and helps us with digestion and the absorption of nutrients.
Australian Dietary Guidelines don’t really specify how much water we should be consuming as everybody has different body-types, though they do state that we should “drink plenty of water”. Living in our warm and sun-drenched Australian land – that’s not hard to believe.
A quick Google search holds the ‘eight glasses’ rule!
“There are many different opinions on how much water we should be drinking everyday. The health authorities commonly recommend eight 8-ounce glasses, which equals about 2 litres, or half a gallon. This is called the 8×8 rule and is very easy to remember.”
