Drinking clean water is good for your health
Our lean body mass is made from 50-80% water, which helps us maintain a regular and healthy body temperature (for instance your body sweats to cool you down when you’re overheating). It’s so important for your wellbeing, absorbing nutrients, and digestion.
Australian Dietary Guidelines haven’t really specified how much water we really should be drinking a day, as it varies per person. However, they have said that we “should drink plenty of water”. Plus, living in Australia…we definitely should be!
A quick search on Google states the ‘8×8’ rule!
“There are many different opinions on how much water we should be drinking every day. The health authorities commonly recommend eight 8-ounce glasses, which equals about 2 litres, or half a gallon. This is called the 8×8 rule and is very easy to remember.”
