Q&A with Mark

We asked Mark to tell us a bit about himself. Here is what we learned about our man in Western Sydney.

What brought you into the water dispenser business?

I have a degree in Agricultural Science, an MBA and a general interest in business. Most of my career involved a mix of sales, marketing and business management. My first job was as a sales representative selling infant formula to pharmacies, then I worked in Gunnedah selling agricultural supplies and services to farmers. I then got my first management job as a product manager with Combined Rural Traders, a major rural merchandise wholesaler.. This is where I was properly introduced to the cut and thrust of business and this is where I discovered “my inner businessman” and started to hone my business skills. I have been GM of a variety of businesses including an import/export and manufacturing business in the industrial filtration sector and more recently I was GM of a major equipment wholesaling business. So water seems to have always been in my blood in terms of my business career.

How long have you been servicing Western Sydney?

Just on 4 years, and it’s been great!

What do you enjoy about the business?

Meeting people and building relationships with my customers, plus the flexibility it gives in my work life

What’s the typical customer experience once they ring you up or fill in a contact form on the website?

We talk to the customer to get a better understanding of their needs and to give them a couple of options if appropriate, such as Cool and Cold machines v Hot and Cold machines, and the EzyFill v Direct Connect plumbed in alternative.

Usually, we then set up a trial for the customer so that they can experience the product first hand and then we come back and sign them up on a contract if they are happy

What sets you apart from the competition?

I am passionate about providing the best level of customer service that we can, so I believe that one of our strengths is that we will look after our customers better than the opposition. The customer needs to get on board to experience this of course. If a customer has an issue then we make it a priority to sort it out as soon as we can.
